    Had a rare day off today

    My son said he would get the eggs today. Nice day here today. Clear very little breeze and warm. The lake has come up 4 feet. Sooo
    My baby girl wants to go to the zoo. So off to the zoo we go. I had never been to the NC zoo before. After walking 5.5 miles on my bad knee I am wore out. I would have loved to have went fishing but my #1 job in my life is being daddy and that is more important than fishing. Oh did I mention my daughter is 33. Yep she’s still my baby girl until the day I die

    It’s a great zoo but quite a workout! Remember carrying or pushing the kids. I’m still tired!

    Nice way to spend your day off and I get it. We've been wanting to get back up that way and take the grandkids to the NC zoo. Before I retired, I was in our parts division which is in Randleman. I would stay in Asheboro when I had to work in the Randleman office for my week a year. Nice place. Sounds like we will need our walking shoes when we go to the zoo.
