Last week, I received conformation that I will be having my long awaited surgery January 3 2024. After having met twice with the team doing the procedure , they told me that they will know which of the 3 choices of surgery when they open me up, since they may have to reroute the major celiac artery that requires having a vascular specialist surgeon. So I met with this surgeon, he tells me that doing the surgery is not a problem, but the cut pancreas could leak lipase enzyme which could potentially dissolve the sutures to the celiac artery killing me before they can do anything to stop it.
However, if I make it the first 48 hrs in the ICU with out any complications, survival improves exponentially with the possibility of having the cancer removed out of me without chemo or radiation following.
I need everyone's prayers that God our Father would have kindness and mercy toward me in guiding the hands of the surgeons by the Holy Spirit in a successful surgery, and Christ may carry me through those critical 48 hrs, so glory can be onto Him and the Father in my recovery.
