    Magdraft Freestyle set up

    What is the ideal rod for throwing the magdraft freestyle on a spring lock weighted hook? Straight braid

    How much additional weight do you intend to add to the Freestyle? It's already 1.2 oz by itself, so the total weight does make a difference. Using straight braid is good info too, are you fishing them in or around heavy grass?

    7’4 heavy poison adrena is what I use, but I throw on fluorocarbon.

    An iRod Kaimana Coastal 7'9"H Poe's Mag Stick would be high on my list in the $200 or less category.

    6"? Megabass Orochi XX Perfect Pitch. I have no experience with this rod. I have done tons of research.

    You can use that rod for the 6" rigged Magdraft. The Magdraft Freestyle only comes in 6".

    dobyns 736c isn't really a true extra fast. Just a hefty frog rod. I personally throw them on an OG Dobyns DX745 in , what i'm assuming, is the same section of river you're wanting to throw these in. Mark's suggestion of the Megabass Orochi Perfect Pitch is a much better option and more universal. IMO it has a better tip.
