They have very limited in-store hours. It was like 2-3 days a week they were open for 4 hours per day when I checked this past spring.

My wife and I are traveling to Phoenix in March for Spring Training. Visiting Hook Up Tackle is on the agenda.

Very likely they will be back to regular hours well before March. While they focus on online sales, they do have a huge store jam packed w all things JDM. They lean high end so be prepared to shell out $$$. They are tucked away in an industrial lot in the far northwest part of the valley.

You might want to check out Phoenix Fishing Supply. They are more of a local shop catering more to in-house customers. They have been a valley favorite for as long as I can remember.

I've bought from them before, but next time I place an order it will be from Hook Up Tackle.....

Good on them for doing something nice for others. Maybe it’s the cynical part of me and maybe we didn’t see it all but I don’t think but only a few of the adults attempted to shake their hands or even give the guys a fist bump.

-The first couple when they gave a rod/reel to the guy who said he let his wife use the new rod. Immediately asked for another rod/reel for a kid that fishes with him. While I appreciate his effort, I think the better reponse would have been to give the kit he got to the kid, instead he asks for more.

-The guy on the bike. He is being given a free reel and again instead of being grateful for whatever he was given, he asks if it was an open faced reel. The way he asked suggests he was being picky…on free stuff.

The two kids and the couple toward the end though were very thankful. The one boy even giving the guy his Yoda toy in return was pretty awesome.

Again, maybe I’m just an ******* that sees the greed in people or it was edited in a way we didn’t see everything.
