When you live in my neck of the woods you’ll eventually find out that “black holes” don’t only exist in space.
There's a black hole in Hutchins, Texas. Packages  disappear without a trace there all the time. USPS and Amazon don’t give a $h!+.
They just say “Oh well, try again”.

When I worked in Shipping and Receiving, the IT technician told me 5 60 inch monitors were being delivered by UPS next day, well UPS shows up with only 4 monitors, but the packing slip said 5, so I told the driver to put them back on his van. Next day same guy shows up with 5 monitors, I guess someone needed a monitor.

I once had a package that was shipped by USPS say that it was delivered to my front porch. I called the Post Office and told them that I was here all day and it wasn't delivered. She actually told me to go around to my neighbors and check with them. I told her that I didn't loose it so I damn sure wasn't going to find it for them. The next day the status changed on their website just like what yours said. 3 days later it said that it was delivered to my front porch again which it wasn't. I call again and wasn't nearly as nice as I was the first time. Contacted the seller and they issued me a refund even though it said that it had been delivered. Now here's the kicker. Nearly 3 weeks later the mail lady pulls up and blows her horn. I go out to her car and she said "I bet you've been waiting on this, huh? This package was in my other vehicle that I used for a couple of days while this one was in the shop. I must have missed it when I swapped everything over". She didn't say she was sorry or anything. I filed a report on her the next day but I bet she wasn't even asked about it.

There is no rhyme or reason to USPS. I have boughten baits off the boards twice recently. The first package took 3 days to arrive from Texas. The 2nd order was this week and it took 2 days to arrive from Ohio. On the other hand a thank you card was sent to me from 2 miles from my house. It was postmarked Nov. 17 and it took 18 days to reach my house. Go figure.

I contacted the seller and he said for me to keep it and have a Merry Christmas. It was around 30.00.

nevermind I see your previous post. I can’t even get anybody to tell me where it’s located. How did you find out it was in Richmond?

You have to call USPS and start an inquiry. I had to do this on day 28 for the package that I sent USPS priority. After I did this it was found and finally delivered 3 days later.

Yah I did that. They said they would call me back. Nothing yet. I am in no rush to get the package and could care less how long it takes. I simply want an answer where it is located and that it’s not lost seeing it’s a $665 rod. Seems in 2024 we would have the technology to easily locate a package. Last time I will ever use USPS for anything.
