Power Pole Stainless Steel Broadhead spikes; Are they helpful?

I have never had power poles before, but I ordered my new boat with two eight foot power poles. Do the Stainless Steel Broadhead spikes that epoxy to the end of the power poles assist the power poles in better holding the boat when anchored, or are they really not needed? Thank you in advance for any assistance you may provide.

I just installed them on mine. Needed - no. However the people that I talked to that had them said they held much better on rock.

I had them on my last set of Blades and agree they hold better on rocky bottoms. On soft bottoms, there is no difference. I just ordered a set for my new Blades.

    It's great on rock bottom
May or may not get stuck on soft wood
