    Grocery delivery apps

Just a heads up if you use one of these services to order groceries online and have them delivered. Wife signed up for a new one and some of their prices were a dollar higher. Like $2.99 instead of $1.99. Plus you don't get to use your store discount card I think and miss out of two fers.

this.. it shouldn’t be a shock to anyone to pay more for someone to do their shopping for them and have it delivered.

I always thought it should be for those who need assistance (physically/mentally disabled) not for people who don’t want to do it themselves. heck even my 100 yo grandmother (100yo, 2months, 26 days) still goes into the store to do her own shopping

That's right and for your convenience fees. You want less effort on your part and more on others then you should pay for that.

some services add an upcharge to the items (instacart/shipt 15%), some just add a flat base delivery fee, some boast same price as in stores(doordash), some do not deliver (egrowcery). They are not all the same.

I do my own shopping, get exactly what I want at the price I want to pay and I check the expiry date on all products because stock is not allways rotated as required.
