    GLS 10 status LED

Hello, I'm installing a livescope system on my boat currently. I ran a new power harness with 8 gauge wire, a dedicated shutoff switch and 7.5 amp fuses.
When I have everything hooked and and power on the GPS 10, the red status LED comes on once for <1 second, then goes black. I have the network cable (red connector) installed and tight. Obviously, the has unit says "No Network Source Found". Do I need to reset the head unit or is there possibly singing what going on?
I looked online and Garmin's troubleshooting guide for the LED does not list my blink condition.
    I've included a small clip.
Thanks in advance for any direction I can go in trouble shooting the issue.
Edit, can't upload video to the board directly. Trust me, one red blink and it goes dormant.PXL_20231208_222634037.jpg

You cant upload a video directly to here....you would have to upload to Youtube and then link it here or maybe on another source to link here....

Sounds like its not powering up. What head unit? Shouldnt have to reset the unit.....should auto power up when you turn head unit on. Is box connected direct to head unit or network hub??

It is directly connected via Ethernet. No hub.
    Here is the video.

Been couple years since I installed mine. That silver ring on the network connector is something I cant remember seeing.
Something looks different to me. Unless they have different connectors now.

network cable..red connector..That's not something I'm familiar with. Maybe that's it.

The GLS10 is not seeing the chartplotter.

What head unit and what Livescope? Are they updated?

That looks like the wrong or home made ethernet cable to me.

Did you buy this new or used? That looks like a Humminbird network cable, not the one that comes with the GLS-10.

I'll say that the chrome end cable is not a Garmin cable.....and looking at the pin holes, looks like someone has forced it to connect being there are "other" holes and also one looks to be larger......what do the pin on the black box look like?? Are they damaged or bent???

Either list or post more pics of ALL of your parts.....

This is what you should have to connect the network cable to box......

Alright, I think that network cable is actually for a. Hummingbird. What cable do I actually need? Going from the 1242xsv to the GLS10.
    Thanks

Better take a cell phone shot of pins up inside network connector.
From the looks of the HB connector I bet they are bent.

Sorry, here's the RJ45 side and the inside of the connector for the GLS10. All the pins look good there. I ordered a Garmin network cable, PN 010-12528-02 .
