Best way to add a 2nd graph to the bow. What would you do in my case?

I was thinking of leaving the Helix 10 over the pedal like it is and just adding my 12” Gsrmin to a single shroud mount to reduce stress on the shroud if this will even work or I thought of these other options.

    2. Put both the 10 and 12 on a dual stack shroud mount.

    3. put both units on a str8 up over the pedal offset mount.

What do you guys think would be best.

I put a HOE dual mount on my shroud that holds a 9" & 10".......now i don't care WHO's mount you use and mount to the shroud, eventually the shroud can loosen the shroud screws and pull them out.......i ended up bolting my shroud down to boat and made it solid.....i did not like the units sitting over the TM pedal as it would get in the way, so i opted for the shroud mount. Now if you were to put it on a dual mount screwed to the floor, no issues with the shroud coming loose.

Here is mine and what i did......

Brackets i made to bolt shroud to boat

I agree 1000% with the post above! He needs to sell some of the mounts he made for his.

The weak link is the attachment of the bow shroud to the boat.

I have a dual mount with a Helix 9 and 12 on the bow shroud. I needed the shroud mount as opposed to a floor mount because it was lower and I can still use the cover with it.

I added some extra support for the screws and extra screws as well. I also added some extra support from the mount to the deck to help minimize the bouncing and shaking of the units. It damm sure aint as nice as the mounts above, but it has been on the boat for about a tear with no issues.

There is no doubt most of the shroud mounts for the bow are very strong, but without reinforcement its like buying the best mount for a BIG screen TV and securing it to the drywall without going into a stud.

I like it....first time to have dual units upfront.....mount has multiple adjustment points plus the unit can be adjusted on the cradle so that's a plus. I actually found it on the for sale post on here so it was cheaper than brand new on HOE website.....

I'm running the Str8up dual with a Garmin 1022 and a Helix10 over the pedal on my 819. Been rock solid and pricing was hard to beat. I have the 5" riser.

I made the one above. Used 3/8" thick aluminum, shaped on belt sander, powder coated in home made oven. That's a solix 15 and garmin 106 for reference.

Dual 12 inch graphs on my 819 pro here. I went with the HOE dual adjustable mount myself along with their aluminum backer plate for the bow panel. It’s absolutely rock solid however I did change some things from the factory. I replaced the factory number 8 screws with number 10’s and I did add two more screws at the bottom corners of the bow panel. I used a drill bit to go through the panel and fiberglass for pilot holes and used 2 number 10 screws with finishing caps. It looks like it came from the factory and hasn’t moved at all since the install. Hennessy makes great products and their customer service is top notch. I’ll try to post a picture here but this website isn’t happy about high quality images.

I was a big fan of the precision sonar mount. As long as they sit at an angle you like i think all of the dual stacked mounts look pretty good. Even this mount got a little close to the trolling motor pedal, thats why i dont like the over the pedal mounts.

Bass Boat Technologies dual stack mount, and you can opt to have the top dual mount plate offset to the right if you're concerned or need the extra clearance for your trolling motor.
