I did well with a 2011 Yukon. In my hood there are several Pilots and CR-Vs that seem to go and go.

Wife drove a 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4wd for about 10 years. I hated selling that thing.. Rock solid and reliable. Tires, brakes, 1 battery and 1 water pump in 125K miles.

Had a 2001 Chevy Tahoe Z71 that went 275k with no major issues until a kid pulled in front on me and totaled it. Got a 2013 Yukon Denali now that just flipped 200k with no major issues so far.

05 jeep grand cherokee, pulled the boat to FL and back several times and everywhere in between..never had a problem, I felt the shorter wheel base and the weight made it a great tow vehcle(better then my half ton).also felt there was no better vehicle in the snow..only complaint was gas mileage with the v8.

if you want to get technical, there are 4 classes of SUV: compact, cross over, midsized and full size. Just because you don’t think a Subaru or other unibody SUVs isn’t an SUV doesn’t make it so.

if you don’t think a unibody is an suv, then your Cherokee XJ doesn’t classify as an SUV either because that had a uniframe.

2013 Mazda CX-5. First generation of this model. Daughter in law still drives it. Has over 100K. Never been in the shop or worked on for anything that wasn't regular maintenance or service interval.

Very simple, if it has a regular RWD transmission and a transfer case its an SUV, if it has a transaxle it's not.

We’ve only owned one. It was a Honda Pilot. It was absolutely flawless for the 6-7 years we had it. It was the wife’s “truck”. I’ve always had a real truck, so no need for any other SUV. Her current vehicle is a Lexus Hybrid hatchback thing. I don’t know if I’d call it an SUV. It’s more like a taller car.

she is wanting a new vehicle soon, and we’ve had VERY good luck with Toyota trucks and cars (and Lexus). This goround, I think she is wanting a Toyota Highlander Hybrid.

2008 Cadillac Escalade. Bumper to bumper 100k warranty, Two issues (drove it about 120k) were catalytic converters went out and water got under door panel in the winter and froze, damaging panel. Both cover under warranty. Always got a loaner even for an oil change so tried every model, really liked the XLR with the Vette engine.
