    Garmin Force pedal friction.

So far really enjoying the Force.
However, with the pedal adjusted to max friction, it could use a little more.
Sometimes when removing my foot from the pedal, I will bump it and cause the head to spin.

Its not a big deal, BUT, if the water is rough I can see this being a problem.
Anyone able to figure a way to increase the pedal friction beyond what the factory screw will allow?

I have learned to live and like the pedal tension. Like a lot of new things once you use it often enough you will get accustomed to it.

Something sounds wrong. Mine is pretty difficult to move. Flip it over and remove the 6 T25 screws for the back panel. The friction plate is visible. Make sure nothing is stuck in there.

    Thanks for the info.
I will be removing my the pedal and gaining access to the friction plate.
Will update once I get this done.

I wish mine auto returned to the middle position. I keep tripping on it if the motor is left or right

I removed the cover from the bottom of the pedal.
After checking everything out, it looked normal.
Leaving the friction as it has been was a no go for me. Much to easy.

I removed the friction adjustment screw. There is a very stiff spring that the Allen screw compresses for added friction.
With the screw ran all the way in, it’s not enough pressure.

I took a BB (grandsons BB gun) and dropped it down on top the spring. It’s a perfect fit.
Installed the Allen screw and Walaaaa. Plenty more friction adjustment.

Seems this is a fix if the light friction is an issue.
