    Economic Stimulus

The 2 year search for just the right truck (for me) finally came to a close last week. GMC was offering $6,000 in rebates on the 2023 Denali with 5.3L if you had a qualifying trade-in. There was also a $1,000.00 Costco member discount. They gave me what I wanted for 2013 trade-in, so it was a great deal overall. Ended up with 5.25% financing for 48 months from my local CR. Not terrible.
Found this one with pretty much the exact options I wanted and needed, but without some of the extra frills (GMC power steps, sunroof) that I didn't. This thing has more camera views than an NSA facility. The first thing I did was remove the factory 6" running boards (hate 'em) and had some Amp Research PowerSteps with SS trim installed. Going to add a leveling kit to eliminate the rake, a hard tonneau cover, and a Range Disabler to turn Auto Start/Stop and AFM. And I suppose I'll be buying a B&W hitch that is designed to work with the MultiPro tailgate since it won't fully deploy with a regular hitch.
I'm very happy with the 5.3L performance. Runs much stouter than my 2013 did. All the power I'll ever need. I'm a lucky man. As my wife said, Merry Christmas.

Be sure and check but don't think a Range Disabler is available for your truck. Congratulations on truck!

Very nice. That BW hitch is pricey but get it before you end up deploying the tailgate down onto the existing hitch. Don’t ask how I know!
