I can see this being put on by some of the soon to be displaced BPT/BASS guys. It’s not intended for us normal fools, it’s for guys that make their living fishing and have real sponsors.
Tournament operations will require anglers to participate in tournament logistics. Contribution from the anglers is imperative for the success of this tournament as we will have no staff.
Eliminate overhead costs by requesting anglers to participate in tournament logistics normally conducted by tournament staff.
They not only want you to travel and pay them $5,000 to fish, you have to help with the weigh-in too. Must be sort of like the self checkout at Wal-Mart.
There was a guy from the West Coast who was proposing a similar format years ago with a lot of big promises of TV Coverage and Potential Sponsors.
There were some that knew him who constantly claimed he had the money to make it happen and had all the TV Contracts and Sponsorships lined up.
Evidently it was just another announce it in the media then hope the Network and Sponsors start calling. It disappeared without ever having a tournament just like this one will.
But they’re only going to start fishing for their own money. Later, they’re going to fish for sponsorship money.

I missed that one was too busy trying to figure out who came up with this well orchestrated Troll and was analyzing the most likely suspects and upset that I didn’t think of it.
