With what I see happening in the capital and on college campuses, it will be a miracle, if the good ole USA makes it another 20 years.

Yes, they won't have to make it illegal. Oil is not limitless, the well will run dry someday. I probably won't be on this earth when it does, nore do I want to be. It's going to be chaos when it's starts to run out. I've said it before, if you like Gunsmoke, the show, the depiction of that show really wasn't that long ago. We act like we have been using oil for a 1,000 years. Bottom line the horse market will be back if someone doesn't come up with a way to replace the power of oil.

No way............batteries are too heavy take way to long to refill and can't tow any loads without a huge range penalty. One day maybe but not yet.

No, but they will eventually make it so inconvenient to use and parts and service will likely dry up so people will just stop buying them.

Term limits would be a good start. Dinosaurs on both sides of the aisle that have made careers out of positions that were never intended to be destinations.

people never thought an ICE would replace the horse and buggy. 100 years later look where we are at. With the technology and innovation that’s going on today, who knows what’s to come in the next 20 years.
Yeah, but they didn't make it illegal to buy a horse and buggy. You can still buy a horse and buggy today.

Can never say never, but this country was built on cheap energy.

Wind, Solar & EV's are a solution to a problem that does not exist

Technology is getting so good at extracting oil that it will be a very long time before we have to worry about running out.

When we run out of oil cars will be irrelevant. Look around your house at all the petro chemical products you see (which will be most things in your house including the plastic on the keyboard you typed on) Even EV's have tires, coolant for the batteries, paint, wire coatings, etc etc... which does not count the other elements that may be in shorter supply than oil.

Would love to know what the plan is for these companies to dispose of lithium batteries properly….? Have heard that certainly is one way to contaminate our planet, so is this really a green solution as they say? A recent Uber driver conversation I had-I asked the driver the same question (this guy works for one of the electric vehicle companies and just drives on the weekend ) what is the plan to dispose of all this lithium batteries that are no longer good- he absolutely had no answer for me. In fact, he said his preference is to not discuss that. I quickly then stated, so how are EV a true Green solution and that was the end of the conversation very interesting.

No one would ever think of towing their boat with a Model T, but then Model A etc etc. It’s only a matter if time and one day your grandkids will laugh at driving an ICE vehicle as much as they laugh at a rotary telephone.

I still have at least 40 years left on this earth and fully expect to be driving an EV at least for a daily before my time is up whether I want to or not. I'm holding off about 5 more years before buying a new truck so will see where we're at when that time comes.
