I wonder if that idiot filming really thought that yelling at the crane operator was going to help?

Pretty sure that only the trailer is supposed to be elevated on that one. Some of them support the tractor and trailer.

That is my belief but I am not really knowledgeable here. The platform looks too short to tip with the tractor hooked up unless he is not backed in all the way. Kind of hard to tell for sure.

I bet drawers were ruined when the truck dipped when they started lowering him.

I've personally seen the truck/trailer lifted on a ramp to unload the trailer. The rig of course was completely on a platform. Unloading wood chips at a mill.

I worked for a paper company that did this getting wood chips via truck at their papermills. However, the entire truck/trailer would get lifted and the driver was not in the cab when it was lifted. Me thinks a major safety check was missed before that lift was attempted.

I used to repair the hydraulic systems that operated the lifts. Yes that one is obviously a trailer only one. The tractor should have been unhooked. The operator was/is a idiot. The best one I got a call on was a truck/trailer combo that the operator got almost all the way up and both pumps mysteriously failed. Both 60GPM vane pumps were split at the housings. Only 2 things cause that, too high a pressure or no oil. Didn't take but a second to see the 500 gallon res was just about empty! The truck driver was not impressed I am sure. CJ
