Can you get a 150 on it now, it's almost 19' long you know?

Keep on bugging! Maybe Vexus will give in. 150 would be perfect on that boat.

I get the feeling Vexus is more about building a cushy rig to fish out of than they are about outrunning everyone. If you want a fast aluminum rig Xpress is great at that but the way they do things isn't for everyone. Even as a 100% bass guy I still like the look of this new 1880c. It does seem strange that Vexus isn't giving the option for a bigger motor on such an expensive boat to begin with unless the people buying these boats don't care about speed. Looking at lengths the 181 could probably easily handle a 90. 1880 could take a 150. 1980 could handle a 200. 2080 a 225 or 250. That said, I've never driven or even been in a Vexus and don't know what they'll do with max hp as is.

    8" Bob's Action Jack
Garmin Echomap 12, 10, 9, and LVS34 networked with Netgear Switch
    Ultrex
Trick Steps and Ramp N Clamp
Pulled by a 2016 single cab HEMI Ram

Treat others like you want to be treated when on the water EVEN WHEN IN A TOURNAMENT! No fish is worth having a confrontation because you cut someone off or came in on top of someone.

I have the 1880. With 115 the boat is on plane almost instant. Cruises very nice at 30 to 40 mph. Top speed is 46 to 48 mph. Its not under powered at all. The top end is were it would better to be in that 60mph range on larger lakes. I fish Powell and Mohave and it sucks cruising at 40 mph and watching everyone driving right past in a boat the same size with 150 or 200 out back. kind of embarrassing when a Tracker 195 blows by you.

Yeah my H18 with a 115 tickled 53mph for a few seconds a couple days ago. Cruises great in the 40's but this hull loves to scream. I pulled about 30 pounds of unneeded tackle out of the front so should in theory give me a mph there. I think I'll be able to get 54-55 this winter if I don't hit the rev limiter first. Now while my rig is pretty fast for a heavy aluminum boat with a 115 it doesn't have the creature comforts and refinement of a Vexus and I'm OK with that. It fits my personality great and something all dolled up wouldn't be right for me just like I'll take a plain work truck over one that's loaded with features if I'm having to pay for it. I do have nice electronics on this otherwise utilitarian boat

    Keep on trying Vexus.

Until you up the HP on that rig your customer base will continue to be limited

Perhaps they keep the horsepower limit low due to the cracked hulls of the past. It's my understanding the cracked hull issue has been fixed, but I suspect they're just being cautions.
