I’ve just gone through the worst 4 days of my life. My 35 year old daughter is dead from a drug overdose. She had been sober for almost 6 years. After becoming sober in 2017 she worked as a NA “narcotics anonymous” sponsor for other newly recovering addicts until several months ago. I am very proud of how she tried to help other recovering addicts and I thought these issues were now in the past. I was wrong. I guess the reason I’m making this post is to warn any recovering addicts or relatives of addicts to never let your guard down. Even after years of sobriety it can still come back to bite you. I have seen a few incredibly heartless comments on this site concerning addicts. I pray for you and hope it never happens to one of your loved ones. Love to all of you and let’s treat each other the way our Savior would want. Thanks, Dan
