I’ve had donor on my license for a long time. If it can help someone to have a chance at life, then they’re more than welcome when I’m gone.

I'm not but I'll probably make sure to be one next time my DL is renewed. Considering I damn near ended up in a body bag when I was 16 I'm sure I had plenty of usable parts that would have gone to waste.

I'm concerned about doctors wanting my organs more than they want to keep me alive should I get into a bad wreck or something. More money for them to be made that way

From the OP, I can’t understand why anyone would not want to be an organ donor!

    Gotcha, thanks.

I just leave it as it's a personal decision but understand where you're coming from.

I am a donor. However, I have heard horror stories from nurses i know of donors dying and the hospital going way way too far donating every organ/body part to not only people in need, but for "science". That is too far in my opinion. I believe you can have a loved one oversee and have the power to say what can, and cannot, be taken and where it goes, person who actually need it, or college kids experimenting in gender clinic surgery.

I have been labeled as a donor and always will be. Having CHF now, I'll need a heart transplant at some point.

I talked with a guy I used to work with at HD last week. I asked how his kids were. His ex used to come into the store with his youngest. His answer was sobering. She is now 14 and had a heart transplant recently.

With my history of brain injuries I offered to donate it to the teaching/research hospital I get care at. The MD I saw at the time said they dont do that type of research. They partner with a drug research lab.

I don’t feel superior to anyone as you alluded to! Just thought such a simple act could have a huge impact for someone else!but you feel free to feel anyway you want!

Do you have anything to share with the OP to help him understand? Or just tossing around incendiary comments without offering anything useful(which might be a trend)
