    Flashers in the rain

While we are talking driving in the rain

    Flashers - Yes or No

Just made it legal here in Florida.

    I think is it stupid.

blinding and throws off depth perception.

No. Unless it's raining very very hard I think it's unnecessary.

Most people don't use their turn signals much less their flashers.

Was back in Germany earlier this year and kept getting the high beams flashed at me..... accidentally had the fog lights on in my rental.
They don't play those stupid games.

i wish it was more like that here. I can’t stand the guys in trucks that have aftermarket lights and end up blinding everyone because they don’t turn them down.

The only time people put flashers on when it’s raining is if it’s down pouring and you can only go like 30mph on the thruway.

A friend of mine pulled of the road on 85 in a bad storm and turned hers on. She got hit in the rear end and killed being safe.

No. As long as you have your lights on you don’t need flashers.

There was a women that I occasionally had to drive near on the way to work. Any time she was in any situation that was a little congested she would turn her flashers on. It was very annoying to be driving near her. I mean she would do this driving down the interstate. Then after getting off of the interstate into some stop and go stuff, the flashers would be on. It's like WTF, if you are that scared just get the hell off of the road.

No. I’m a fellow Floridian, most of the drivers I see on I 75 with their hazard lights on during a rainstorm have out of state plates.

In my state, if it is raining enough that you are using your wipers, your headlights must be on. I think it is a good law. Flashers no. They are for emergency use only.

People here drive with them on all the time. Pretty sure it's against the law, just not enforced. Had a state trooper pull me over when I had them going to the ER (speeding, not raining) to meet my brother who just had a heart attack. He said it was not legal to run them on the highway. As far people with them on in rain, I believe they probably do more harm than good.

They don't use turn signals anymore here and flashers.........well they can't find the switch to turn them on usually.

I see folks doing it on the interstate when passing thru one of those frog-strangler storms that you can't see 50' ahead of you the taillights unless the flashers are on. Seems to help in my opinion.
