    Daiwa Steez 79H Universal Power

Thinking about one of these rods and have heard they're quite versatile, but was wondering if anyone has used this rod for 6" magdrafts...or even as a lighter A-rig rod? would these techniques be too much for it?

Absolutely, I've used the Steez AGS 79H Universal Power for both of those techniques and it handles them nicely. It's without a doubt my favorite 3/4 and 1 oz Dark Sleeper rod too. I'm not a huge C-rig fan, but it is also hailed as an epic rod for that technique. I love dragging and stroking 3/4 and 1 oz football jigs in deep water with it, and it's an incredibly good big worm deep water rod too. It is quite versatile to say the least. I'd call the action more toward moderate fast than a true fast which lends itself nicely to versatility. It's a sleeper in the Steez AGS line up indeed.

I use mine for c-Rig, mag Drafts, dragging jigs deep, and 1oz spinnerbaits. Great rod.

How is this rod for 6/0-8/0 beast hooks and 6" paddletails, using say 17lb fluoro?
