Gt 30 vs Gt 56

Is there a noticable difference in the quality of the side imaging between the gt30 and the gt56/
I have the gt30 on the boat with the 8616 at the console , but I'm looking to get the best image i can.

Sounds like you may have an shoot thru paired with the GT30. If that's the case then look at the GT36 which is the same as GT56 just no 2d sonar. I've had both and i say that the GT36/56 is better. Now i'm using a Ultra 126 so screen resolution on your will be better.
