    Academy Sports coming to Bloomington

Be nice to have a decent fishing store close. Not BPS, but 35 minutes away vs. 2 hours for me.

Good deal! Never hurts to have options

One just opened by us. It is nice to have one close, but it replaced an outstanding Sportsman’s Warehouse that is greatly missed. The issue with our store, and one that might get resolved, is hey do not restock the shelves. Baits have been out for months. Maybe they will get caught up soon. o have noticed they have enough of what you might need, but not everything you want. Maybe the BLoomington location will be a bit better.

You have to realize that all of these outdoor stores are really clothing stores. There is a higher profit margin on clothing.

That would be great. My best option as of now is Walmart.
You'd think being in the middle of Monroe, patoka and boggs there would be a better option.

I think a tackle shop like Honey Creek tackle or similar would work in either Bloomfield or Bedford. Bloomfield is ~1 hr or less away from Monroe, Patoka, Boggs, Greene Sullivan SF, Sullivan, Turtle Creek, Cataract, Greenwood, Glendale, Lemon.

Any tackle shop that has opened around those areas is now closed....save a very few. HCT is awesome...but is way more than a tackle store.

HTC is hour and half away, bass pro little over hour. Something decent in Bloomington would be nice, but I hate Bloomington.

I watched a video last night on BBQ smokers. The video creator went to a local Academy Sports in Texas and talked about all of the smokers they had for sale. There was every type of smoker under the sun at that store. Unfortunately, our local Academy Sports has a very small selection. I would buy from them if they had more of what I was after.
