    Ranger aluminum transom bolt holes

Are the transom bolt holes on a ranger aluminum (rb190) sleeved? Or is there raw wood inside there to get wet and rot?

About to add a jackplate. Just wondering what I'm going to find when I pull the motor and knock out the bolts.

When I did my rig a few years back, they had a fiberglass block to distribute the weight.
Note, I add Talon Sandwich brackets between the jackplate and the transom.
I did add some sealant to the hole areas.
(I assume you are using SS bolts. Don't forget to use some type of lube on your bolts when reassembling. To prevent gulling.)
