Exclamation Typical Trolling Motor issues on a Ranger Boat - problem solved.

"Don’t be like me and wait to buy a ShuttleSlide until after you beat your trolling motor up! Buy it now to save wear and tear. Great for trolling motors that have trouble clearing the bow roller when unloading. And great for the times you need to pull up on the bank. Just slide it back and no worries of hitting your trolling motor on anything. A great investment!" ~ Eric from Kentucky

"I got the ShuttleSlide installed and I do not understand why everyone with a trolling motor does not have one. Installation was a breeze and the slide works exactly as described or maybe better than described. Thanks for making a great quality product." ~ Jim from Florida

We make boating easier for you! 1.) Miss those bow rollers when loading / unloading, 2.) avoid accidentally bumping the trolling motor into docks or other vessels 3.) you don't have to pick up and move your heavy trolling motor around the boat and 4.) STILL be able to use your custom boat cover without removing the motor!

We realize there's a lot to think about when you own a boat. Let us solve one problem - no more overhang! (The Terrova, Ulterra, Rhodan and Motorguide Xi3 / Xi5 have a lot of overhang)
Prevent The Unexpected! ~~ Lifetime warranty, made in the USA

Do you want to reuse the existing holes in your deck? No problem. We have an adapter plate for that (DPA-1).

*Everything is in stock now! Mounts start at $189.99. Ships from Florida (normally within 2-3 business days of ordering). www.shuttleslide.com/shop

We have been a paid sponsor at the BBC for about 3 years now. We don't post on the Ranger forum very often, maybe 2 -3 times a year. We have been getting a lot of Ranger boat owners calling us this past summer to help them, so we thought we'd offer our products here too.

On your newer models, what keeps the motor from sliding back and forth?

A few years ago, we changed the design on the HD mounts and UHD mounts. Our mount has an integrated brake at each end of travel on the mount. You adjust that brake (4 screws - 2 on each end of the mount) when everything is first installed and after that, you do not need to touch it again.

The brake screws works exactly like the ones your truck or car uses. When the sliding brackets move past the "brake", it squeezes down on that bracket and prevents it from moving. The tiny screws narrow the slot in the middle plastic piece and cause the plastic bearing to grip the brackets more.

Additionally, when the motor is deployed and in the water, the resulting forces on the mount are trying to pry it up, off of the deck and not slide it back along the mount track due to what is known as a "moment" that is caused by the motor thrust being applied at a distance of up to 108 inches. The motor will not slide back and hit the boat because it's an "upward force" pulling on the trolling motor.

This force can be in excess of 2000lbs in some situations. Our mount handles these forces without any issues.

Please let us know if you have any additional questions.

Yes, we've heard good things about the Ghost. Our main customers own Terrovas, Ulterras and Rhodan motors. Their "overhang" can be fairly large. Our mounts are compatible with the scissor style trolling motors like the Ghost, Ultrex, and Garmin Force, but the TMA-1 adapter is needed to attach the brackets to the adapter plate. Then you can easily slide the trolling motor off the back of the mount to remove it off the boat. That's our version of a quick release.
