    1988 150XP TRIM POSITIONING SENSOR

I have a 1988 Evinrude 150XP motor and my trim positioning sensor has bit the dust! I'm finding these are obsolte. Any idea as to where i can get a replacement? Is there something from a newer motor that i can retro fit to my old motor? I have purchased 2 of these from e-bay and they are both sketchy at best. One I couldn't get to work at all and the second one has an internal short. One second it works, the next second it doesnt. Any help would be appreciated. I hate having things NOT work on my boat!!

Try Stone and Sons in Houston TX, they may be able to help you out.
