    1999 200 Optimax Starter

Have a 1999 200 optimax and the starter went out while fishing in Canada. We were able to limp through but now looking to replace and the OEM seems to be unavailable everywhere. We had an aftermarket arco on from a previous owner and that’s what failed. Anyone have any suggestions on a replacement starter or what they’ve done to get their motor back up and starting consistently? Not sure how old the aftermarket starter was but I’m leery but it also seems to be the suggested option when searching around. Serial number OG883988.
    thanks in advance!

Do you have the original starter in storage, they can be rebuilt.

Please also include your serial number, it’s required, and will help figure out the correct starter for your motor.

No we were not given the original when the boat was purchased. And updated original with serial number.
