Researched etorque & talked to 2 dealers. It is only active from a dead stop to about 20-25 mph (roughly). It is a non-factor after that. Etorque has its own 48 v battery & takes the place of the alternator & charges the 48 v battery & system has a regulator to step down voltage to 12 for accessories & 12v battery under the hood. A dealer let my tow my 521L in a new '24 with the 3.6 etorque. Off the line was OK, but the 3.6 lacked the towing power to pass in my opinion compared to my current '04 hemi . I will pass on a Ram 3.6 to tow.

I have a 2019 Ram 1500 Limited RWD with the 5.7 E-Torque, towing my Z19 on flat ground and staying under 65 it's right at 14 mpg. If there are hills or I put my foot in it more, it drops down to 12.5 mpg. Without towing, I get about 14-15 mpg around town and 19-20 on the highway. I just hit 25k miles and this truck has been awesome from day one - best truck I've owned! It does have all the bells and whistles being a Limited and the air suspension is probably the best feature of all!

100% accurate. 2020 rebel with eTorque. At 70 mph around 13 mpg. At 80-85, drops to around 10-11

I get between22 to 23.5 towing a 22 foot Skeeter fully loaded with 300 pounds of sand bags in the back for stability.

To the original question, NO! I do not have a newer Ram but the Ram I did own was the Worst vehicle ever for fuel mileage, Might have gotten 8 at best towing!

I don't have etorque, but have a 2019 with the 8 speed. I tow a z7 nitro single axle, and get 14-16 towing. Get 20-21 highway driving not towing. Around town I get about 15, but it is a lot of stop and go.

I have a 2020 Ram with 3.92 rear end. Love the truck but the bigger issue is all the rear window leaks they have been having

Forget the gas mileage towing. Most of your time in it will not be towing. You’ll love that truck!

Don’t back your trailer in so far at the ramp, Jim.

I have a 2019 with the 3.92 rear in it. I stay under 70 towing because above that I get death wobbles (going on my third steering rack in this truck). I get 13 -13.5 average towing a 19-1/2 FT BassCat. the 3.92 and 5.7L really works nicely towing as you are staying closer to where the torque is. It is comparable to my previous 2.7L ecoboost but sounds much better and rides MUCH smoother. I used a loaner a few times as this truck has spent A LOT of time in the shop getting warranty repairs and the loaners had the 3.21. they shifted A LOT more towing and not towing. Every truck I have used from 2500 diesel to Ford Ranger and everything in between gets 12-14 towing. just the way it is I think.

    2020 Ram 1500 4x4 w/ the 3.0l Eco Diesel, 392 gears, 4" lift on 35x12.50r22's. I'm getting 17-18mpg towing on flat ground consistently.

I was ready to trade my 17 Mega cab on a new 1500 while the V8 was still available. Till I found out their only available with the eTorque.

I have a 2020 Laramie with the eTorque. I get 14-16mpg towing my 18’ BassCat running 70-75mph. I’m guessing the boat loaded is around #3,000. I don’t use the tow/haul mode when I’m running on flat ground. I have the 3.21 gears

I’ve had four Dodge/Ram truck going back to 2007 and the gas mileage hasn’t changed that much IMO.
