So tell me what's so bad about people standing together and trying to make their lives better. What part of their new contract bothers you? No more forced overtime, no more 2 tier wage structure etc?

The forced 6 day weeks was really taking a toll on drivers. Our less senior people haven’t had two days in a week off since before Covid.

Yeah, trying shipping something the other day - went to UPS $45. No thanks, went to USPS, $11.

Good for them. Worker's rights in the states are shrinking so its nice to see at least one group of employees making improvements.

Sad that a guy loading trucks and dropping off packages makes more money than a dental assistant, LPN, or pharmacy technician. I guess the Teamsters could say that health professionals should unionize as well, but that inflation would then negate the salary increases of big brown guys and we'd be back to $12 hamburgers all over again.

Do you think big business pays a fair wage out of the goodness of their hearts?? Any time you sit at the table and bargain it is a form of extortion. Whether its an individual or a Union..Bargaining as a Union just gives the employees more power...

Yeah, we might see a rate increase due to the new contract (or at least that will be the reason given). But IMO the reason rates are so high for the little guy is because we indirectly subsidize the mega retailers like Amazon. I'm gonna bet they don't pay what we do to ship a $2.98 item 2-day service to your house.

You can make that argument all the way to even a wider income gap....Maybe they should just pay everyone a dollar a day Well..except me...
Decades of the working class hammering other workers about too high of a salary is part of what has gotten us to where we are today. Its an amazing product of manipulation by the talking heads..
LPNS and medics are way underpaid...No matter what UPS drivers are paid..
