Best practice up the transom. Just like a skimmer transducer
thanks for the feedback, I understand running wire up the transom, but where wire comes out of transducer, does it face the transom or the the prop and then double back towards transom?Originally Posted by Basshopper

Watch the video by Jacob Scott on the Lowrance YouTube channel on how to properly mount a transducer on the bottom of a boat. This procedure will insure high soeed rwadings on the SONAR screen.

Doesn't really matter, if your SideScan is reading backwards you can flip the view. Install whichever way is more convenient for you and doesn't stress the wire.
