    Zxr speed

Does anyone know what the difference is in speed between the 20’ and 21’?

I can’t say with absolute certainty but I’ve read real world the 20 is 2-3 mph faster. There will always be exceptions, but on average that should be realistic.

I bought my ZXR20 in August of '20 and sat side by side with a new ZXR21 and the new(?) SHO in a tournament last weekend. He seeing 70-71 in summer conditions while mine is about 71-72. I didn't notice if he had a hydro JP or not. I don't. He had poles and I do not.

We are seeing almost identical speeds between the two sizes.

I have the same ZXR 20 with no poles and I am getting 69 - 70. Curious on how many holes are showing for motor height without jp.

I have a 2023 ZXR21 with jack plate and raptors. Top speed for me (alone in the boat) is 72mph.

    To compare what Keowee said...

I have a '22 ZXR 20. Top speed for me in the winter by myself is 75. That was with the T2 prop, poles, no livewells, 1/2 tank gas, and hydraulic jackplate set on 18. I can't get that speed anymore since I went to a Bravo prop, but that prop outperforms the T2 in every other category so I don't mind. I fished a tournament last Saturday on a tidal river in very hot conditions. With a partner, livewells, full tank, and Bravo prop I was seeing 69.

Manual plate... 8 holes. Haven't changed the set up from dealer. In colder water/weather I'm a couple MPH faster.

I run both the 20 and 21 for demos, the difference with me driving and setting them both up is 2 mph on average.
