may say that but will very likely go higher , why are you bumping it or hearing horn ???? mine say high limit have seen 6350 without warning or reduction

i have 5 none have RPM posted on sticker the ones with HIGH LIMIT i know will go well over 6k , not seen one with rpm posted on sticker either , may be reflash

Try to load a picture of the sticker, but it clearly says 6000 and I thought that was kind of odd

Sticker doesn't say "rev limiter 6000". It may say "recommended maximum RPM's" though.

Limiter shouldn't be viewed as a "fixed number"- it's more of a window of about 400 RPM's. May activate earlier (or not) depending on many conditions, such as LOAD.

That engine begins to fall off in the torque curve at around 6050 so 6000 was a good recommendation.

that was the experimental run of powerheads some days they would exceed 330 hp next day they wouldnt even start they had variable port timing that self adjusted to atmospheric pressures hell its FRIDAY ,,,,,, JOE
