    Ghost anchor mode issue

Every time I spot lock the trolling motor moves the boat 8-10' backwards before it holds. I've calibrated it both ways 3 times and it still does it. Anybody have a cure for this?

    1. Make sure the motor is updated to the latest software.
    2. When hitting Anchor Mode, be sure the boat has come to a COMPLETE stop.
Hitting Anchor Mode essentially sets a waypoint the instant you hit the button. The motor will then attempt to remain on that waypoint. If the boat is moving even a tiny bit, the motor will do everything possible to get back to the spot it set when you hit the button. The software update combined with being aware of boat movement when hitting Anchor will certainly help with your issues.

^^^^This. Any brand trolling motor will do that if you moving and then hit spot lock. It takes you to the exact point of where you hit it. So if your boat is moving 3 mph and you hit spot lock it will initially go past that point due to the momentum of the boat. Then take you back to where you hit spot lock.
