This is what you get in today's world. It will only get worse.

Bet it was Fedex ground. We deal with them at work and the drivers are subcontractors and not Fedex employees. When they are running behind they will do this. We do pick ups at customer's location which they charge a fee for and have had the call center admit they will scan pick up attempted when they did not attempt because they knew they could not make the pickup time. I told the one person you know just admit to fraud since this is a paid service. Lots of stuttering from that call center employee. I will say they have gotten some better but still prefer UPS as I get things early from them regularly.

They delivered an empty package, the supervisor admitted the delivery driver said it was empty and he knew it but left it anyway, not knocking or showing me as I was home. Between FedEx and Home Depot they beat me out of $112 because they would blame each other. FedEx told me a claim must be filed by the seller/shipper and home depot told me it showed that the delivery was made.
