I have never had a trolling motor with spot lock, does the Quest have its own GPS antenna or do I need to have a compatible sonar unit for GPS in order to be able to spot lock?

All motors with spot lock have GPS to stay by that spot

All have built-in GPS in the head of the TM. No need for anything external.
