I have seen some insanely low prices from companies who claim to buy inventory of businesses going out of business.

Has anyone made a purchase of these?

Will PayPal protect you from a scam if they are not legit?

I keep thinking of the old adage " if it sounds too good to be true walk away".

I would not risk it. I always call American Legacy and buy my Loomis from them. Great price and service and no risk or issues.

A member here PMed me and let me know about dealer cost so the ad was definitely a scam.

I know everyone including me loves a bargain but this one is phony for sure.

Never bought one online like that. But one time in North Carolina, I found a store that buys closeout fishing gear like that. It was kind of like an Ollie's, if you are familiar with them, but only fishing gear. I got a brand new MBR842 GLX for $200. That store is no longer there, and I don't know if any like that exist any more, with today's online sales market. But if you ever do see a brick and mortar clearance store, there are deals to be had.

Yes we have Ollie’s and Dirt Cheap but they rarely have name brand tackle for sale but do have decent clearance prices.
