AFM Range Disabler - GM Truck

After running this device in my GM Trucks for many years, I was surprised to find out they do not have the updates so I can run it in my 2023 vehicle. Anyone know if GM changed their software or if there is another option to disable the Automatic Fuel Management? Thanks

Pretty sure Range makes a device to disable AFM on the new(er) GM's. It's not as simple as plugging a module into the diagnostic port on the new models. Go to the Range site and plug in your truck info.

Range sent me an email that they did not have a product for 2023's. I will look at Diablo. Thanks
Nothing from Diablo for the 5.3 either. Strange.

I'd reconsider the need. My 2008 GMC never lost a lifter up to around 130k miles but it did use oil, one of the cons of that era AFM. But, my 2018 has almost 90k miles on it now and does not use oil at all. The current generation of engine is not the same as what they used to run. I don't know the specifics, but based on my experience and what I have heard from other sources, the AFM seems to be trouble free now. But, I'm sure others will disagree.

I have a 2023 Chevy with the 5.3. Last time I looked, nothing was available.

I'm one that will disagree. I had a 2015 Sierra with the 6.2. At 102k the lifter spun, wiped the cam and trashed the block. A 2023 would still be the same, except it now has 8 afm lifters instead of just 4. I wouldn't take the chance.

I'm running my range pulsar LT in my refreshed 22 RST that I had in my 21 High Country with no problems. My truck wasn't equipped with DFM from the factory....just wanted to do away with the auto start/stop pain cause I'd always forget to turn it off

After a lot of research, it appears that if you keep it in L9, DFM / AFM is not active. That would seem like a very cheap option.
