EV, we did hit 90. Pulled the AC's 2 weeks ago because we've had the windows open since July......until this week. It's 70 at 7AM already. I won't complain.
On that note, I was on Great Pond Monday. It wasn't so great as far as fishing. The friend that took me there managed a 2.5 smallie and a pike about 6 lbs. I caught a few dinks. I was very impressed with the lake, the biggest body of water I've been on. It is a place I'd like to learn because it has some great areas.

Rain held off on Saturday .. we stuck around Cobby for the day after showing Russ a few other lakes on the prior days .. not one pattern from the prior 20 years of September’s held up with the water being in the high 80’s
I hadn’t drop shotted in years but Russ loaned me a set up late afternoon yesterday and proceeded to put a whopping on me with it .. he caught one around 8-9 inches and a big largemouth came up and tried to eat it off the surface .. a short time later I hung a rock pretty good and while trying to free it a large mouth just under 5 decided to free me off the rock ! A nice end to my half week in Maine .. as weird as the fishing was all week we still managed a double ever day .. usually when we hadn’t had a bite in a long while
Might have been the earliest bed times ever in fall rally existence for everyone with No Jomo in attendance lol

Russ+ Jerry. Jane and I have not been fishing in almost two months .. I thought all the pictures of you two holding up bass would piss me off, wrong, it made me happy as hell to see you guys fishing together and hooking up with some good bass !!!

Ev I don’t think you would have liked the heat much it was super hot and fishing was off big time … everyday it was a lot of work just to get decent fish
We even beat up one of your secrets spots and only got Pike !!
