2022 vexus 1880 new hull and lost 600 rpms with 2019 merc 115 ct

So I have a question as to why I would have lost 600 + rpms when my 2019 boat was replaced with 2022 model I can tell the hull is quite a bit different and thicker aluminum my 2019 merc 115 has the 23 tempest plus on it but on the old boat would push 6200 on the new one I can only get around 5500 rpms at 45mph GPS loaded. Should drop down to a 21 pitch prop????

I think the first question is did they hang the motor the same height. Then I’d look at props

You still need to turn 6000 rpms. I feel the 23 is to much prop for that boat/motor combo. I switched up to a Tempest plus 21. Great hole shot and I will hit 6200rpm and 47-48 MPH at 3000 ft elevation.

I would highly recommend Vessel view mobil. This will give you accurate info from your motor.
Also check on the hull. I believe the 2023 1880 hull material is still the same at .100. The 1980 and 2080 are now at .125. The only change in the 1880 I believe is the keel.

Did you get your transducers installed in the same spot? I find out I lost about 2 mph and ~ 500 RPM after installing my 2 transducers in the back

My tach went bad too. Replaced under warranty, it would read 7000 at WOT and 2000 at an idle. I didn't think they changed the 1880 hulls or did they?

You might want to have your dealer check that the throttle position sensor is reaching 100%. It might need to be adjusted after the engine was re-installed on the new hull.

I just talked to my Vexus Rep. The 1880 is still .100. The 1980 and 2080 hulls are .125. I was confused so I had to ask.

I think there might be some confusion.
I was reading somewhere, the transom is .125 but the hull is still .100. Can't find it to confirm now.

I hope that’s true. I’m getting a new hull so that would be good news. I will need to talk with my rep again apparently. It would be nice if it was on the Vexus 1880 Web page.
