Just for fun. Fastest cats in order and speed range.

Because I’m not really sure but just curious how they stack up against each other. Just figure every one with max rated hp.
    1) Jaguar because of the horsepower?
    2) Eyra?
    3) ?
    4)?
    etc

Since the Bobcat is the old Margay hull it should be mid 60s.

I get 64-65 in my bobcat and could sustain 70 in my old sabre, but did hit 73 once.

BassTex…I feel your pain. After 25 plus different props I find out the hull is designed to not bust 90. I thought I was doing something wrong.

I believe the hull was modified some years ago to limit top speed. I'm not sure if older Eyra models have this designed into the hull?
Its interesting that the Jag's hull does not have this speed limiting design?

I always figured the Eyra to be a low 90's rig with the 300R.

id love to know what the eyra would do if it wasn’t limited.
maybe that 500 is going on the back of it at the demo day.

I had no idea the the hull was limited when I bought the boat. Fully expected over 90 and have to say I was disappointed by the numbers after all of the trials with many props. Would I have bought the boat knowing that it was detuned.....probably not and I believe that is why BCB never advertised it. It really never came to light until I started chasing the rabbit and came up just short of goals. This was no matter what prop or setting I run. If I did it all over again I would probably just go with the Pro XS 300 and saved a few bucks and been happy with 85-87, which almost what I have now. I am very interested in the new lower unit that Mercury just came out with. I have always felt that Yamaha had the best of both worlds with their lower unit and now Mercury came close with the new one. Willing to give it a try if it will fit the 300R also. Hoping for a better hole shot and same top end I have now. Still a lot of cash to throw at the boot again.
