They spray soap and water so they can see spawning fish better.

not all, some are environmentally safe and others are biodegradable.

that’s to dissipate or break up pollen and other skim surface materials clearing vision. The old Super Soaker trick. TNT fish attractant in a streaming squirt bottle was the deal, which was a TX Product years ago and it worked really well. In some areas algae blooms leave a surface skim in spring that prevents good vision below.

Another trick when pre fishing was marking the bank around specific spawning areas, rocks and logs, with paintball guns. Since paintball has exited popularity that trend went away with low availability. Sticks and bobbers weighted around beds and more have all been done.

I would say yes it you squirted the wash and wax directly into the water and depending on what the ingredients are.

I think reasonably and common sense wise using dish soap like they do is really a non issue in the grand scheme of things. I would guess more oil/exhaust and stuff from boats have a bigger impact.

    As an avid sight fisherman..
I think it should be against the rules. Take what nature gives you!
Is it much different than putting an elevated platform on your deck.

They do, but dont get Dawn dish washing fluid around your dog, or their eyes. Youd think with a baby duck on the bottle it would be safe, but not for dogs.
