Good idea to buy used fish finders?
Not a lot of money and want to get some Lowrance devices.
Trying to decide if I should buy 2 of the HDS Gen3 , 1 or 2 two Carbons or 1 Live.
Wanting one 12" and one 9" if possible.

I purchase all of my electronics from this forum, or Texas Fishing Forum. I have always had good results. My opinion is at least the Carbon units.
Nothing wrong with buying used units. I would recommend buying the newest model unit you can afford. Not sure how much longer Lowrance will be providing software updates/support for some of the older models you listed. Give Steve a call at BFE. He’s a board sponsor and always has nice used units available.

I've bought some used, sold some, never had any issues. Any brand preference? I have a Lowrance HDS Live 12 I am thinking about selling.
