    Need a new mattress

    Anyone have a Select Comfort?
Any generics worth a look at?
Do these fit into a standard king frame?
I'm 69 and have a lot of aches and pains, standard meds don't work anymore and looking for a new mattress to possibly help.
    Suggestions welcome.

We just got an air-pedic and like it so far. My wife's hips hurt her while sleeping and we tried regular, foam, and waterbeds. She says this works best so far, but we have only had it a few weeks. We chose it because it has three chambers on each side that allow for two different pressures. You can set the mid-section (hips), different from the top and bottom (head and feet). I think it would be better if it had three pressures on each side, but two is better than one. They need to be on a solid bottom, but our foam mattress came with that, and we just sat the air bed on that bottom.

Check out Stearns and Foster. Most comfortable mattress I ever laid on.
Like all mfrs. they have different firmness between the models they sell.

My purple helped a little. I’m too broken for a bed to fix though.

Just had to replace my waterbed and struggled trying to find something comparable. Ended up with a sleep number. Took me a couple weeks to settle on a number but we really like it.

Purple if you can swing the price. Their pillow is amazing too. Can't imagine sleeping on anything else.

Get away from memory foam. Research latex foam. The following mattress I recommended to 3 people and all three said it is the best mattress they have ever had. All three have back and joint issues. I also use this mattress and will never go back to memory foam.

    Check this out. https://sleepessentials.com/

I learned a lot from that guy and I’ve had his latex mattress for 3 years now and it still feels brand new. My back never felt better.

We had a purple for 89 days, tossed it back in the pool. Premium 3 I think. Now we have something firmer, its great for me, my wife not so much. So now we are trying to find something that suits her in a queen for the spare room. Once we have it nailed down, we will buy twin xl for our king bed in each when these wear out and go back to being in one bed all the time. Between now and then we are going to alternate bedroom so neither of us has to endure an uncomfortable mattress over and over.

    Good luck.

Hate buying mattresses. Never know if I’m paying $2,000 for a $1,000 mattress or $1,000 for a $2,000 mattress.

We just bought two twin XL Casper adjustables. I can’t sleep flat any longer due to bad hips andback, and I’m tired of sleeping in the recliner. Takes a couple of weeks for delivery, so the wait is on.
