XRS, SST 250 and 300r experiences

Not trying to open a huge can of worms here but…. I’m in the market for a new or few year old bullet pretty much narrowed it down to 21xrs or 21sst. I’ve been in my 21xdc for 15 or more years and sadly I havnt had a chance to get in or ride in XRS or sst I fish all kinds of water shallow, deep, rivers etc Just wanted some of y’all’s opinions between the two diff models pros and cons I don’t always run 80+ but like to be able to if I want Is there that much of a difference in the 21.10 & 21’? I do fish out of my buddies 20xd and there is less room than my 21 but still very fishable is that a fair comparison when comparing xrs and sst? How does the sst compare to the 20xd in fishing and size? I know the newer models have a lot more storage options I’ve pretty much got my mind made up if I buy new I’m gonna go with 300r and if I find one that I like used I’m at the mercy of whatever is on it. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

If you get an SST a hydrolic plate is just about a requirement. They are very hard to prop with a 300R my old one drove me nuts.

100%. When I re powered my 01 with a sho in 2014 I knew I would need a hydro plate to make setting it up a lot easier

Can’t go wrong with either! My SDC (same hull as XRS) is VERY easy to drive. It’s not as fast as the SST but plenty fast for me. 92mph with 32 bravo (solo light load), 87mph with 30 bravo (fishing prop), 83-85 mph tourney load with 300# partner.

I was never a fan of the hydraulic plates until I bought an XRS. Even more so now that I own one with a SHO. I wouldn't own an XRS without one. Also if you end up with an XRS I find that 16" of setback is better than 14". I could get the older X models to do everything I needed with a fixed plate.

As far as comparison. I think the 21' models deck feel as small or smaller than a 20'er.
