    Tools in boat?

Finally taking the new phoenix out for the 1st time. Was going to gather up some tools to have on the boat and I'm not sure what to bring, I know there's only so much you can fix on these newer engines. So what do you guys carry? I got a prop wrench, screw drivers, zip ties and tape, but need some advice on the rest.....thanks!

Fuses, wire stripper, wire nuts (just for use in a jam), electric tape and a hammer. Luckily I have never needed any of that, but I have loaned out the occasional fuse and electric tape. Enjoy your maiden voyage!
Just be kind to one another. It really is that simple.

Socket set and allen wrenches in metric or imperial, ohm meter, spare fuses, small mirror, and maybe a razor knife. Small flashlight if you don't have one for other purposes.

I have a kit very much like this https://www.dgisupply.com/product/CTG20052 Have a small electrical kit too. Tape, cable ties, hose clamps and an extra spark plug. For getting to the nearest ramp or marina kind of repairs or being able to keep fishing. Mostly use it to help other people, but I've fixed minor stuff myself over the years too.

If I had a new boat the only tool I’d have is my I Phone and a U.S. Boat membership.

I keep a little ratchet set that I got from Walmart in the boat... it has a number of screw driver attachments, sockets, allens and a few other odds and ends. Cost me like $20

So rather than maybe spend 15 minutes fixing something if minor and getting back to your day you would rather wait on someone to show up? New boats always have little quirks that need ironing out.

I would rather wait than to take a chance of voiding a warranty

I can't imagine being so helpless as to not be able to swap a fuse to get a graph or pump back running.

Add side cutters that are capable of cutting a hook to your kit.

Hub kit to go along with the prop wrench. I had to change mine on the water once.

When I'm local...most of the tools stay home. I have Boat US for this reason. When I travel I have a tire iron, jack, 2x4" and chocks for tire changes. I carry plugs, prop wrench (newly added), hub (newly added), and some basic hand tools in the boat for on the water issues.
Been fishin' since I was 5 years old...Thanks Grandpa!
