When i was playing racecars we had to pass tech before the race. Curious if they officials inspect boats for safety and such prior to a tourny?

That standing pad is not a part of the trolling motor bracket. It's an added on platform to stand on, IMO.

Maybe he's asked and it's been approved by BASS, but if not, he's flirting with a DQ in the Bassmasters Classic according to their rules.

That standing pad has been added on on top of the trolling motor bracket. That is not part of the trolling motor bracket.

Kyle Welcher said on a youtube video you can't add any kind of a platform to stand on including on the trolling motor bracket or graphs. Swindle's trolling motor bracket has a standing platform on it. They showed him on live this morning, and it's on his trolling motor bracket.

I couldn't find rules specifically for the Elite series, but the rules for the Opens states:

"Any raised platforms or decks cannot be higher than the gunnels of the boat. Trolling motor brackets and electronics are not considered “raised platforms” Standing on the outboard engine or seats while fishing is not allowed."

This is the standing platform I'm talking about.

I've never had my boat checked other than live well check and Redman tour used to have us pull the kill switch as we went past the start boat to prove it was working.

That is an interesting question. Hasent some anglers been DQ'd in the past due to engine modifications. Seems it was years ago but someone got hit because of aftermarket reeds or something. Maybe not using correct term but something stands out.

I wonder if im remembering correctly that was found out unless angler was protested or something.
