New to Garmin

I Installed a Garmin 106svultra finder with the supplied GT56UHD-TM transducer and added a GT15m-1h in hull transducer with a transducer adapter cable.
Is there a specific setting to read both transducers or toggle between them. I am getting readings from the in hull transducer but not the down/side scan transducer

Nope.....you cant use the GT56 with another ducer.....not event the Y cable wont work. If you want to keep the GT15, then you will need a Y cable and a GT36, and then remove the GT56.

If you are going to have 2 ultra units at console anyway, would it work to hook up the GT56 to one and the GT8 to the other and just share the data via Ethernet between both units? Goal is to avoid buying the separate GT36.

As you described it can be done that way.

If you get the GT 36, you can put the GT 56 on the trolling motor. I did and it works fine.
