    Swapping my Birds for Garmin

I’ve been think about swapping my core Humminbird system for a Garmin one.
My question is; is there an adapter so I can use my current 2D transducer or will I have to install a Garmin one ?

I’m mid-swap But because the 2D transducer is shoot-thru, I’ll leave a Bird on the dash. I prefer the Lakemaster maps to Navionics so it’s no big deal.

Some of the HB and MK transducers will work with the garmin head units. There is an adapter cable that you use. Although 2d will be about all the basic info you will get from it.

I agree with Ohio Archer. Do yourself a favor and leave one of your Birds for mapping. The Lakemaster charts are way more accurate than Garmins chart chips in my experience. As in, we have a few lakes that my Garmin charts show an underwater hump that comes up to 15' below the surface. On my Humminbird Lakemaster charts those underwater humps aren't there. I have gone over to check out these humps while fishing only to find that the Lakemaster Charts were right and they weren't there.
