    EGG PRICES......CHANGES COMING REAL SOON!

Yes, I just paid $7.92 for an 18ct tray of eggs at Walmart. But hold on....relief is on the way and I was told by my reliable egg producer buddy that their prices have already tanked but will take a week or longer to get the high price inventories outta the pipeline. He said the prices will get back to normal very soon, unlike other commodity prices that go up and never come back down. I'm very glad to hear this because we eat eggs and lots of 'em!

Hope you're right. We eat a lot of eggs in my house too. Don't think the dogs are too happy with just half a scrambled egg each every morning vs the whole egg they used to get.

I just read an article this morning that said the same thing happened in 2015. They had a bad bout of avian flu and the prices climbed to almost $4 a dozen nationwide average. Once the stocks were replenished the prices went back down. The average is higher now but they are expecting them to go back down once the brood stock is replenished and supply is restored.

Don't eat them like I used to. I'll buy a dozen maybe once a month.

About five months, first eggs will be small with quite a few double yokers, eggs will reach normal size 1/3to 1/2 way through the first laying cycle.

Wow thanks for the info. We were getting all double yoke eggs from a guy a while back and didn't know why they all were.
