    Snake for main line

I want to buy a snake to do my main sewer lines. I don't need a professional grade so I was looking at a harbor freight "drainmonster" for $300, but this other brand, Vevor, keeps popping up in my feed. Anyone familiar with it? I keep looking on marketplace for a good one, but not much has popped up.

Can't see inside the harbor freight one, but if it doesn't have the inner drum to feed and retract the snake and feeds to and from the cone, it would probably work better. Seems like feeding it back through that drum hole could be sticking point.

I have rented the tool at HD 16 times. Long story why. Depending on unit its 50 or 60 dollars. They inherit the sewer smell and storage issue. I own about every other necessary tool for the house. I havent considered buying.

This if you have a pressure washer, can't beat it! And as a bonus you don't have to worry about the blades damaging old pipes

Holy crap! 16 times??? What's going on there? Do you use an entire roll of TP for every trip to the throne?

I’ve been involved with commercial jet cleaning old sewer lines a lot in the town where I live. Lots of these houses still have terracotta/clay and orangeburg pipes. High pressure will destroy those old pipes,of course by that time they need replacing anyway. I still use a jointed 1/4” steel snake on those old lines,it will usually do the job to get the owners out of a bind.

Is this just for cleaning or will it unstop a clog in the the pipe????

Already had to pay twice for a plumber to come unstop a pipe.

It will unclog and clean. I've used it 3 times to unclog the drain.

I bought that exact Vevor machine a couple of months ago and it works great. I have cleaned all my 4' sewer lines with it.
Tree roots...you have to go slow but it will do the job.
If you try to go too fast the cable will twist up inside the cage then its a pain to untangle it.
Be careful as it spins pretty fast.

I have purchased (2) honey extractors straight from Vevor. They shipped and I received units within a week.

I received discount offer last week. Sign up as a member (on Vevor’s website) and use code WTS01 and see if it lowers price.
