SBF will be the scapegoat, rightly & wrongly. Simply, he's not alone.
He's smart, very bright, but young and vulnerable too. There are others.
And if you'll look, it's apparent. He doesn't have the missing funds.

He was the CEO, how could he be expected to know everything that was going on in his company? The people under him are responsible.
I’m not sure he will be the scapegoat is the right wording. He was the top guy, correct? So if he pays dearly for misusing funds, wire fraud etc then he’s not the victim (which kinda what scapegoats are) he’s a perp like any other.

The complete lack of oversight on his firm is scary. They bought somewhere between $121-300 million worth of properties in the Bahamas (figures vary, depending on where you look), all while losing/stealing money. This includes a $20 million vacation home for mom and dad.

Why anyone would give them money is beyond me.
"The man of system is apt to be very wise in his own conceit; and is often so enamored with the supposed beauty of his own ideal plan of government that he cannot suffer the smallest deviation from any part of it…He seems to imagine that he can arrange the different members of a great society with as much ease as the hand arranges the different pieces upon a chessboard.” Adam Smith, The Theory of Moral Sentiments
Govt wants to regulate cyrpto, with FTX now they have a reason to step in and tell us why they need to do this. Kid was a fish swimming with sharks, look at the people he was connected with. Deep State.
I don’t know what FTX is.

From an article on the Dailywire.com, quoting the acting CEO of FTX;
“Although our investigation is ongoing and detailed findings will have to await its conclusion, the FTX Group’s collapse appears to stem from the absolute concentration of control in the hands of a very small group of grossly inexperienced and unsophisticated individuals who failed to implement virtually any of the systems or controls that are necessary for a company that is entrusted with other people’s money or assets,” he remarked."
and; The attorney also noted that FTX executives embarked upon a “spending binge” over the past year, burning through as much as $5 billion on “a myriad of businesses and investments, many of which may be worth only a fraction of what was paid for them.” Bankman-Fried paid millions soliciting celebrities such as quarterback Tom Brady and investor Kevin O’Leary as brand ambassadors.

Do you think he might get suicided? Some of these guys he gave money to most likely will not want it known.
odd the timing on the arrest right before he was to testify under oath where the money went.

He was prepared to testify that FTXUS was still solvent and no US people would lose money. Now John Ray makes his entrance and the money is gone. My opinion Ray was hired to protect the interests of the politicians who took money. Republicans got 230 million dollars and democrats got 40 billion. Will that money be returned?

Just a joke. Relax.

More $$ involved, a lot of "dark" contributions into Super PACs, etc.
Doesn't matter. He committed crimes, or didn't. Same for others.
Last time checked, it's not illegal to donate to campaigns, period.
Of course, I'd prefer to see it gone. Go back to voting on the issues.
